Hypothesis - People who exercise in the morning will show more effective weight loss compared to people who exercise at night.
Independent Variable - When the subjects exercise. ( Morning or night )
Dependent Variable - Amount of weight loss.
Controlled Variables - Fixed temperature at 20 degrees Celsius. Subjects follow a 2000-calorie diet one week before and during the experiment. Exercise consists of using the treadmill at 6 MPH for 1.5 hours. Subjects go under the experiment for two weeks, seven days a week. Get approximately 9 hours of sleep. 10pm - 7am.
Subjects : Four male and four female. Age 25-35. Their BMI is in the “normal” range. Asian. (Specifically Korean )
Experimental Group - The other two males and two females exercise at 8am.
Control Group - Two males and two female subjects exercise at 8pm.
(Exercise consists of using the treadmill at 6 MPH for 1.5 hours.)
Measure and Analyze : Measure the weight of the subjects before and after the experiment. Observe for any change in weight. ( Loss or gain )
CRITIQUE - It seems overall accurate, but I believe that there may be room to add additional details. However, I also think that you need to ensure that some people are just athletically fitter than others, or people who are just lose energy when they grow tired. It is possible that people might have done something extremely tiring, and even though they had a good amount of sleep, they still might lack energy. It would be best if you choose people who are smokers and non-smokers, which also might affect their weight loss depending on their energy. Overall, I liked your idea!
